Student life
The library, the scholarship desk, sports and culture, the service scheme, and the everyday facilities that support study.
Reading and reference
The college maintains a central library holding several thousand titles, along with newspapers, periodicals and journals. Reference works and textbooks are also kept in the departmental libraries of the various subjects. A reading room is available for quiet study.
The library works from 10 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. Timings may change during examinations, and notices are posted at the library counter.
Financial support
Eligible students may receive scholarships and stipends under government schemes, along with aid provided by the college for meritorious and needy learners.
The college provides financial assistance to meritorious students and to those in need, within the rules laid down by the authorities. The award of any scholarship follows the applicable government rules.
The National Scholarship Portal is the official route for many central and state schemes.
Beyond the classroom
The college holds an annual sports meet and sends teams to tournaments beyond the campus. Students are encouraged to take part in athletics and team games throughout the year.
Cultural meets give students a stage for music, dance and literary activity. The college supports teams and performers who represent it at events elsewhere.
Service
The college has a unit affiliated to the National Service Scheme under the Dibrugarh University NSS Cell. Admitted students may join as volunteers and take part in camps, community work and awareness drives. The scheme is a way for students to connect their education with the needs of the neighbourhood.
